Comprehensive Teaching Philosophy/ Our Approach:
Were the first golf schools in Ireland and Europe to now offer 1-3 day advanced courses on the
Mental Aspects of Golf in Dublin, Ireland and California,America. We guarantee to provide the most advanced golf coaching methods in Europe. Having studied extensively on Sports Pyschology/Hypnotheraphy over the last ten years i have realised the utmost importance of golfers controlling their emotions, beliefs and attitudes on and off the golf course. The following catergories are also included in our overall holistic approach to developing the best possible golfer you can be, both in the short term and long term. Some of these categories are seriously overlooked with many teachers and golfers in Ireland and Abroad.
Mental Zone Golf, Nutrition, Fitness, Course Management, Learning Modalities, Swing, Game.
My first goal with every student is to help them evaluate their golf goals realistically based on factors such as commitment and athletic ability. Students play the game for fun and for their enjoyment. It is important for students to take the time to clarify with themselves what they want from golf so we can build a learning plan to meet these goals. I believe in keeping the learning approach as simple as possible. Focusing my feedback to the student on feeling and seeing and keeping words as simple as possible based on their golfing ability. My goal is to empower each student to realize that the true test of my value is when I am not present. My role is to provide a foundation and core knowledge for each student to work from. To provide direction, to motivate to provide drills and a practice plan. Tension is a major inhibiting performance. I focus a great deal of my direction to students on drills and concepts to relieve tension in the golf swing. We must first learn to move the club head on a good path with your hands and arms with a square clubface to the target.(SwingPlane) It is ideal if we can swing as close to been on plane as possible, so your swing is easier to repeat especially and easier to produce under pressure. Working from the hole back to the tee is the approach i recommend to all students. The majority of the game is played from around the green. Regardless of predetermined limitations, all golfers can become great short game players. The short game is emphasized in our overall teaching approach.
Measured Results
Many of the golfers that applied this approach and followed through on their commitments, lost between 7-8 shots in 2009.
